All employment opportunity advertisements and recruiting activities advertised through the University of Windsor, Office of the Executive Director, Experiential Learning and Odette Student Success Centre - Career Services must conform to Employment Standards, Ontario and Human Rights Legislation, as outlined with the Ontario Ministry of Labour.

Our offices are members of CACEE, the Canadian Association of Career Educators and Employers, and adhere to the Guidelines for Ethical Recruitment at Post-Secondary Educational Institutions and expect our employer partners to do so as well.

mySuccess is an online job posting system used to advertise employment opportunities to University of Windsor students and recent alumni. Office of the Executive Director, Experiential Learning and Odette Career Services require all employers to provide the following information in order to post a job opportunity. Failure to do so may result in the job posting not being accepted:
i. name of organization with full mailing address and phone number;
ii. full name of contact person with phone number and email address;
iii. an adequate description of the nature of the position being offered and the type of job (e.g., full time permanent, contract, summer, etc.);
iv. recruitment agencies and third party recruiters must provide the name of the client organization for which they are hiring. This information will not be disclosed on the job posting. Only genuine employment opportunities will be accepted.

Office of the Executive Director, Experiential Learning and Odette Career Services will not accept the following types of employment:
i. work involving unpaid or reduced pay for training (with the exception of volunteer organizations);
ii. work involving credit in lieu of pay unless part of a recognized University of Windsor experiential learning program;
iii. any work which requires the purchase of a service or product, or requires a certified deposit or similar as a condition of employment.

Office of the Executive Director, Experiential Learning and Odette Career Services reserve the right to remove or refuse any job postings where:
i. non-compliance with these terms and conditions has occurred;
ii. incorrect or misleading information has been provided;
iii. there are founded complaints from students or university personnel regarding unethical recruitment practices;
iv. the employment opportunity is not considered to be a viable work opportunity for the students;
v. the behaviour or conduct of an employer in their involvement with the university represents unethical recruitment conduct and/or is deemed contrary to the Co-op, Career and Employment Services and Odette Career Services policies and practices.

Office of the Executive Director, Experiential Learning and Odette Career Services will not be liable to employers with respect to any loss or damage which may have resulted directly or indirectly in regard to the services supplied by us.

All submitted job postings are processed Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. except for holidays. Electronic job postings require a 24 to 48 hour posting time frame. Paper copy job postings require a 48 to 72 hour posting time frame. All job postings will be entered on an as-received basis.

Office of the Executive Director, Experiential Learning and Odette Career Services may use an employer's email address for the following purposes:
i. update employers regarding our online job posting system;
ii. clarify job posting details;
iii. inform employers of services to facilitate recruitment on campus or for the purposes of conducting labour market research;
iv. requesting feedback regarding the Office of the Executive Director, Experiential Learning and Odette Career Services employment and recruiting services;
v. recording recruiting results in terms of University of Windsor student hires.

At the University of Windsor, we recognize and respect the importance of privacy. Personal and contact information that we collect is kept confidential and, as such, Office of the Executive Director, Experiential Learning and Odette Career Services will not disclose employer contact information recorded on our job posting system without consent. Contact or personal information obtained by the University of Windsor is, under no circumstances, rented or sold.

Employers who obtain the contact or personal information of University of Windsor students and recent alumni are expected to protect the privacy of those individuals and their personal information. Employers should not disclose contact or personal information of University of Windsor students and recent alumni to other parties without the proper approvals.
